With Smartcall prepaid phone cards you can make low-cost telephone calls to other countries from the Czech Republic, long-distance and local calls within the Czech Republic. Access numbers, availability and billing
The Smartcall service is available via toll-free access numbers.
Access numbers with the format 822 XXX XXX can be used to make calls from any fixed line including pay phones. Individual calls are charged according to the Smartcall price list. For all calls made with Smartcall cards worth 150, 300 a connection fee of 10 CZK is charged for each completed call. No connection fee is charged with calls made with a 500 CZK Smartcall card. The toll-free 822 XXX XXX access numbers are not available from mobile networks.
Card values and validity
Smartcall prepaid phone cards are available at the values of CZK 150, 300, 500 and 1 000. The price of each telephone call is calculated according to the valid tariff. The cost is deducted from the total credit on the calling card immediately after the call is completed. Smartcall 150, 300 and 500 Kc cards are valid for three months (90 days) from their activation, which takes place when the user first enters the PIN code. The final expiry of the card is printed on its back side.
Instructions for use
Instructions for use are printed on the back side of the card and in a special leaflet attached to a phone card. The instructions are available in eight languages (Czech, English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese). A 10-digit PIN code is printed on the back of the card under a special scratch-off layer. Please, do not insert the card into a pay phone card slot; just scratch off the layer covering the PIN code and follow the instructions.
Calling is easy
- Dial the 822 xxx xxx toll-free access number (according to the instructions on the back of the card or in the information leaflet attached to the card).
- Following the voice instructions enter the PIN code from your card using your phone set . If your phone does not support the touch-tone function, please wait for the operator to assist you.
- Dial: 00 + country code + destination number (the number you want to call) + press #. The Smartcall system will make the connection.
- To make another call, do not hang up and press the “*” key twice.
To hear your current balance on your phone card, press “*1”.
